Consumer Directed Services (CDS)
What is Consumer Directed Services? CDS offers you the opportunity
to direct your own attendant care. You become the employer and are
responsible for recruiting, training, managing and firing your attendants.
You hire a CDS agency, such as DSSW, to provide you with orientation
and ongoing support. The CDSA does your payroll, files federal and
state taxes for you, and does your quarterly and annual tax returns.
